Companion & Homemaker Services

Compassionate Homemakers and Companions that Feel like Family

The best part of life is sharing memories and experiences with the people around you. For some, having a homemaker or companion come in to share music, talk about world events, or read a book makes a significant difference in their daily lives.
Whether your loved one likes to play cards, go for walks, or attend exercise classes, our companions and homemakers can be there to keep a watchful eye. With Partner in Coral West Adult Day Care, your loved one will get the companion or homemaker he or she needs to improve his or her life and give your family the peace of mind they need. We have been helping provide compassionate care to seniors throughout the Miami Florida area for years, and we can help your family too.

Our homemakers and companions can help with the following activities and chores:

  • Working in the garden
  • Cooking
  • Painting
  • Organizing the home
  • Using a computer
  • Playing chess or other games
  • Emailing friends
  • Medication reminders
  • Running errands
  • Shopping
  • Transportation and accompaniment to doctors’ visits

No matter what your loved one needs, from light housekeeping to errand running to having someone to talk to or interact with, our companions and homemakers can help him or her live a happier, healthier, more independent and engaged lifestyle.

Coral West Adult Care’s complementary care services include assistance with personal care. If your loved one is an avid gardener, you probably can’t convince him to stay indoors. Supportive care services may include taking her to the garden and working alongside her. She can continue to maintain her pride in her gardens while you can rest easy knowing that she is not doing it alone.

Additional services can include any activity that her loved one is passionate about. They can stroll in the park, attend weekly yoga classes, go shopping at the mall, and eat out once a week. Her loved one will have someone to share these activities with, and you will know that someone is there to suggest a break, remind her of her medication, make sure she eats a nutritious meal, and generally watch out for her.
